Waveform Duration VI

Owning Palette: Waveform VIs and Functions

Requires: Base Development System

Computes the duration of waveform in using the following equation: duration = (#samples-1) × dx. Wire data to the waveform in input to determine the polymorphic instance to use or manually select the instance.

Example

Use the pull-down menu to select an instance of this VI.

WDT Waveform Duration DBL

open interval? defines the interval over which the input waveform extends. The default is TRUE, which selects an open interval. For example, assume an input waveform contains 3 data elements at t = {0, dt, 2dt}. An open interval defines the waveform as extending over the time interval 0 t < 2dt, and a closed interval defines the waveform as extending over the time interval 0 t < 3dt.
waveform in is the analog waveform for which you want the duration.
error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.
waveform out returns waveform in unchanged.
duration is the duration of the waveform.
error out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality.
