Use this page of the 3D Plot Properties dialog box to specify the appearance of the 3D Contour graph.
This page includes the following components:
Plot List—Lists the plots you can configure. Edit the list item text to update the plot name.
Add—Adds a plot to the Plot List.
Delete—Deletes the plot you select from the Plot List.
Up—Moves a plot up the list.
Down—Moves a plot down the list.
General—Select from the following components to specify the general appearance of the 3D graph:
Plot opacity(%)—Specifies the level of opacity of the color you apply to the plot. Opacity ranges from 0 to 100, where 100 is completely opaque.
Coordinate system—Configures the coordinate system on which to display the 3D plot.
Cartesian—Displays the graph on Cartesian plane lines.
Cylindrical—Displays the graph on the cylindrical coordinate plane.
Spherical—Displays the graph on the spherical coordinate plane.
Projection—Select from the following components to specify the projection appearance on the 3D graph:
X-Y plane projection—Displays the plot projection on the X-Y plane.
X-Z plane projection—Displays the plot projection on the X-Z plane.
Y-Z plane projection—Displays the plot projection on the Y-Z plane.
Color Ramp—Select from the following components to specify the color ramp appearance on the 3D Contour graph:
Color map style—Sets the color map of the fill surface. You also can use the Plot Specific:Contour:Contour Color Ramp property to set the color map programmatically.
None—Sets no style for the color ramp. Choose this option if you want the graph to be one color.
Shaded—Sets the style of the color on the color ramp to go from light to dark.
Color spectrum—Sets the style of the color ramp to be the colors in the color spectrum.
Grey scale—Sets the style of the color ramp to a grey scale.
Custom—Sets the style of the color ramp based on the style you configure in the Color Ramp Editor.
Edit—Displays the Color Ramp Editor so you can modify the color ramp.
Contour—Select from the following components to specify the contour appearance of the 3D Contour graph:
Contour mode—Sets the display mode of the contour. You also can use the Plot Specific:Contour:Contour Mode property to set the display mode programmatically.
Contour—Displays the contour lines of the graph without the surface.
Contour with surface—Displays the contour lines of the graph with the surface.
X-Axis—Displays the contour lines parallel to the points on the x-axis.
Y-Axis—Displays the contour lines parallel to the points on the y-axis.
Z-Axis—Displays the contour lines parallel to the points on the z-axis.
Level mode—Sets the method to use to calculate the contour line values. You also can use the Plot Specific:Contour:Contour Level Mode property to set the level mode programmatically.
Levels—Specifies the number of contour lines that appear on the graph.
Interval—Displays the contour lines of the specified interval.
Level List—Allows you to add a new level to the list.
Levels—Configures the number of contour lines. You also can use the Plot Specific:Contour:Contour Levels property to configure the number programmatically.
This option is only available when the Level mode is Levels.
Interval—Configures the interval between two contour lines. You also can use the Plot Specific:Contour:Contour Interval property to configure the interval programmatically.
This option is only available when the Level mode is Interval.
Level list—Lists the user defined contour line values. You also can use the Plot Specific:Contour:Contour Level List property to configure the values programmatically.
You can edit Level list only when the Level mode is Level List.
Line—Select from the following components to specify the line appearance of the 3D Contour graph:
Line style—Specifies the style of the contour lines. You also can use the Plot Specific:Contour:Contour Line Style property to set the line style programmatically.
Line width—Specifies the width of the contour lines. You also can use the Plot Specific:Contour:Contour Line Width property to set the line width programmatically.
