When using GPIB functions, the default primary address of the GPIB controller is 0, with no secondary address. It is designated as System Controller. The default timeout value for GPIB functions is 10 seconds. If you want to set the primary address or change the default timeout value, use the configuration utility included with the GPIB controller.
You also can use the GPIB Initialization and SetTimeOut functions to set the primary address and to change the default timeout value at run time, but these functions affect the interface only when you use it with LabVIEW. Refer to the documentation supplied with the hardware interface for more information.
