Enabling VI Scripting

To display the VI Scripting palette and use the associated properties and methods, you must enable VI Scripting. Complete the following steps to enable VI Scripting in LabVIEW.

  1. Select Tools»Options to display the Options dialog box.
  2. Select VI Server from the Category list.
  3. Place a checkmark in the Show VI Scripting functions, properties and methods checkbox.
    Note Note  By default, the Display additional VI Scripting information in Context Help window checkbox is selected. This option displays VI Scripting connector pane information that you can use to navigate and edit VIs.
  4. Click the OK button to apply the changes and close the Options dialog box.
