Reestablishing the Link to a Type Definition or Strict Type Definition

If you want to reestablish the link between a control or indicator and a type definition or strict type definition, you must replace the control or indicator with an instance of the type definition or strict type definition.

Complete the following steps to replace a control or indicator with a type definition or a strict type definition.

1. Right-click the control or indicator you want to replace.
2. Select Replace from the shortcut menu to display a temporary version of the Controls palette.
3. Click the Select a Control icon to display a file dialog box.
4. Navigate to the type definition or strict type definition you want to place.
5. Select the type definition or strict type definition and double-click the type definition or strict type definition or click the OK button to replace the front panel control or indicator.
