You can configure the ring control so users can enter numeric values not already associated with any entries in the list of items defined for the control. Right-click the ring control and select Allow Undefined Values from the shortcut menu to allow the user to enter any numeric value in the digital display of the control.
You also can use the Allow Undefined Values property to allow undefined numeric values programmatically.
