Add the TDMS File Viewer VI to the block diagram of a VI, run either the TDMS File Viewer VI or the caller VI directly, and navigate to a .tdms file to display this dialog box. You also can wire a path to a .tdms file to the file in input of the TDMS File Viewer VI and run the caller VI to display this dialog box.
Use this dialog box to read and analyze .tdms file and property data. Close the dialog box when you finish inspecting the .tdms file.
This dialog box includes the following components:
File—Displays the full path of the .tdms file you wire to the TDMS File Viewer VI. Select a TDMS file to inspect.
File contents—Lists the property and channel data of the�.tdms�file. Select a file, group, or channel to inspect. The data appears in�Waveform Graph�and�Value Table. The item properties appear in the�Properties Table.
Properties Table—Displays property names and values for the selected file, group, or channel in File contents.
Start index—Specifies the index of the first data value to load and display.
Samples—Specifies the number of data values to load and display.
All—Specifies to load and display all data values.
Waveform Graph—Displays a graph of selected waveform and timestamp data from the .tdms file. Use the tools on the graph palette to move the cursor and zoom and pan through the data. Use the plot legend to set visibility and other display options for each plot.
Values Table—Displays the selected waveform, timestamp, and string data values from the .tdms file.
