Use this page to set security options.
This page includes the following component:
Show the login prompt at LabVIEW startup time—Prompts you to log in when LabVIEW starts. Log in as a different user at any time by selecting Tools»Security»Login. This checkbox does not contain a checkmark by default.
Current shared variable engine user—Displays the name of the current user of the Shared Variable Engine.
Shared variable engine user—Configures the user that appears in the Current shared variable engine user field.
Use anonymous user (Nobody) for connection—Sets the Current shared variable engine user to the anonymous value <Nobody>.
Use the following user for connection—Sets the Current shared variable engine user to the user specified by User name, Password, and NI Domain.
User name—Specifies the name of the current Shared Variable Engine user.
Password—Specifies the password for the current Shared Variable Engine user.
NI Domain—Specifies the domain of the Current shared variable engine user.
Advanced keyboard option—Specifies whether to disable special key capabilities for certain Users or groups.
Users or groups—Specifies the users or groups for whom you want to disable special key capabilities.
Note If you list a user or group in the Users or groups listbox, LabVIEW disables special key capabilities for all users and groups not listed in the listbox. To avoid disabling special key capabilities for all users and groups, you must explicitly list all users and groups in the Users or groups listbox and specify to enable special key capabilities for each user and group.
Disable special keys—Specifies whether to disable special key capabilities.
Note To disable Windows key combination access, you must have performed a custom installation to install the NI Keyboard Filter Driver.
If you place a checkmark in this checkbox, LabVIEW disables Windows special key capabilities, such as the following keys, for the users or groups that you specify:

Add—Displays the Add New User/Group/Host dialog box, in which you can select a user or group to add to the Users or groups list.
Remove—Removes the selected users or groups from the Users or groups list.
