Click the arrow button on the right side of a shared variable refnum control on the front panel or constant on the block diagram and select Browse from the shortcut menu to display this dialog box.
Use this dialog box to browse for shared variables. This dialog box includes the following components:
Browse—Specifies the scope in which to browse for shared variables. You can select either Variable Engines or Current Project. Select Variable Engines to browse for all variables deployed on computers that either belong to the local subnet or have been registered on the current computer using the Register Remote Computer tool. Select Current Project to browse for variables only in the current LabVIEW project.
Select Tools»Shared Variable»Register Computer to display the Register Remote Computer tool.
URL—Displays the variable identifier URL of the selected variable. For variables that can be accessed through more than one engine, a pull-down arrow appears on the right side of the URL display. You can use the pull-down menu to specify which Variable Engine to use. For example, when you select a network-published I/O variable, you can use the URL pull-down menu to specify whether to access the I/O variable locally through the I/O Variable Engine or remotely through the PSP Variable Engine.
